Air raid sirens sounded again today Monday shortly after 2pm in Kyiv as Russia launched a fresh barrage of missile attacks with Kiev’s governor appealing to residents to head to shelters and stay put.
“Missiles have already been launched,” said Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force. According to a senior Ukrainian official from the new Russian attacks at least two people died when the Russian missiles hit buildings in Zaporizhia, destroying several houses.
Kirill Tymoshenko, deputy head of the presidential office, did not elaborate on the attacks, Reuters reported.
The anticipated large scale Russian missile strike is on the way. Reportedly 104 missiles fired from 13 aircraft, plus possible strikes from sea-launched Kalibr missiles. Expected to reach Kyiv 2.15pm local.
