In the video, the pilot can be seen using the ejection seat from zero height and at almost zero speed
Fighting F-35 aircraft of the US Air Force was damaged on landing at Fort Worth, with the pilot using the ejection seat to bail out.
The incident, that occurred Thursday morning at the air base in Texas, was captured on video by passersby.
The aircraft was an F-35B type, which is capable of vertical landing and takeoff. Due to some technical problem, the pilot appears to lose control of the bouncing aircraft, while the nose hits the ground. Before completely losing control, the pilot must deploy the ejection seat from zero height and near zero speed. The operator parachutes to the runway, but it is unclear if he is injured or how seriously.
