Elon Musk said today that he will restart them Twitter accounts of several suspended journalists amid controversy over the release of public data on the billionaire businessman’s jet routes.

“The people have spoken. Accounts that posted personal information about my location will now be unsuspended,” the businessman said via Twitter.

Musk took a Twitter “poll” on whether journalists’ accounts should be reinstated, with 58.7% of participants saying they were in favor of their immediate reinstatement.

Musk, the new owner of Twitter, yesterday caused an outcry and a warning of sanctions from the European Union when he suspended the accounts of American journalists.

The accounts of about a dozen American journalists on the social network were disabled. Some had cited Twitter’s decision on Wednesday to suspend an account that automatically recorded the routes of Elon Musk’s private jet.
