The head of Russian diplomacy said that Zelensky’s ideas were also indicative of the “racism” of the Ukrainian government, without elaborating.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Ukrainian president Volodymyr today Zelensky that he “does not understand the gravity of the situation and does not care about his people”.
In an interview with a Belarusian television network, the head of Russian diplomacy said that Zelensky’s ideas are also indicative of the “racism” of the Ukrainian government, without elaborating.
The Ukrainian president had recently advocated the creation of an international court to hold Russia’s political and military leadership accountable for its invasion of Ukraine and war crimes committed there.
Sergey Lavrov did not fail to strongly criticize the West. The “hysterical reaction” to the “special military operation” (as Moscow calls the invasion of Ukraine) confirmed, according to Lavrov, the Kremlin’s position that the war was “absolutely necessary”.
By taking military action, Moscow destroyed the “geopolitical games of the West”, which aspired to turn Ukraine into a permanent threat to Russia, Lavrov said, according to Russian news agency TASS.
