At least two people were killed and four wounded in a shootout near a Kurdish cultural center in Paris. The information is from the French broadcaster BFM.
Authorities said the suspect is a 69-year-old man. He was detained by the police, but his motive is still unclear.
The shooting took place between rue d’Enghien and rue d’Hauteville in the 10th arrondissement. A witness told AFP news agency that he heard seven or eight shots.
The police closed off the area and urged the public to avoid it. According to the newspaper Le Figaro, a riot has formed around the cordon, and while some pedestrians ask the authorities for information, others insist on circulating around the restricted area.
