According to a department official, the animal may have entered the campus in search of food from the neighboring Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary.
In videos recorded by forest officials, the leopard was seen attacking a van carrying personnel and then a truck carrying civilians.
“The animal has become very aggressive. We have set traps inside the campus to capture it. Efforts are on to trace him,” Jorat spokesman Ranjit Konwar said.
Konwar added that all campus residents have been advised to stay indoors.
