At least five people have been killed and nearly 30 injured in a fire that broke out on a covered stretch of highway near Seoul, emergency responders and media said.
Images shared by media and social media showed the covered section of the freeway – which is covered by a special soundproofing structure to protect neighboring buildings from the noise of vehicle traffic – engulfed in flames.

The fire started when a bus collided with a truck around 1:50 p.m. (06:50 local time, 06:50 Greek time) on the covered section of the Guacheon highway, an official from the city’s fire department told AFP. The fire spread quickly, but firefighters were able to bring it under control, the officer said.
