Specialists from the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense are working at the scene. There is still no information on casualties, reports BelTA
A Ukrainian S-300 missile fell on the territory of Belarus today, the country’s state news agency BelTA reported, during one of Russia’s biggest missile attacks against Ukraine since the start of the war.
The Belarusian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense forces shot down the Ukrainian missile in the Brest border region at around 10 am (09:00 Greek time) today.
Earlier, Minsk’s Defense Ministry said it was investigating whether Belarus’ air defense systems had shot down the missile or whether it was an erroneous launch.
The incident happened between 10 and 11 in the morning (09.00-10.00 Greek time) – around the time Russia launched a barrage of missiles towards Ukraine.
BelTA reported that the missile that ended up in Belarus came from Ukrainian territory. He posted photos showing what he said were fragments of an S-300 missile in an empty field.
According to BelTA, there is no information about casualties.

The S-300 is a Soviet-era air defense missile used by Russia and Ukraine. In November, an S-300 missile believed to have been fired by Ukrainian air defenses ended up in Poland.
Kyiv has used the system to intercept incoming Russian missiles, while Russia appears to be using S-300 missiles to strike ground targets – which military analysts say is a sign that its missile stockpile is dwindling.
Belarus allowed Moscow to use its territory as a springboard for its invasion of Ukraine in February, but insists it is not involved in the war and has no plans to do so.
