At least seven people, among them three children, died in an explosion that occurred at the Nazilli restaurant, in the district of the western Turkish province of Aydinio, today Friday.
The governor of the province told Anadolu Agency that initial findings indicated that the explosion occurred while personnel were replacing a empty gas bottle that was used in the kitchen around 3:30 p.m. It also said four other people were injured in the blast.
Images from the scene showed the wreckage of a doner kebab restaurant on the ground floor of a high-rise building whose facade was darkened by traces of the blast.
