“Glory to Ukraine” shouted the citizens of Kyiv

Even on New Year’s Eve the Russians did not stop the overnight bombings, terrorizing the residents who wished to celebrate the coming of the new year as best they could.

In Kyiv, a curfew was in place for security reasons, with citizens exchanging wishes from windows as the new year approaches.

“This is how Kyiv celebrated the New Year! All over #Ukraine we have a curfew for security reasons so people can only gather at home. “Glory to Ukraine” rang out loudly from neighboring buildings,” wrote the deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian presidency Kirylo Tymoshenko.

Russian missiles were shot down over two districts of Kyiv about thirty minutes after midnight, the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko announced via Telegram, clarifying that, according to the first information, there were no casualties.

The military command of Kiev announced that 23 “targets” were destroyed.
