THE British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated to Volodymyr Zelensky that the Ukrainian president can count on Britain’s long-term support after the recent drone attacks, a spokesman for the British prime minister announced.
“The leaders discussed the horrific drone attacks in Ukraine in recent days,” the spokesman said in a statement issued after the two leaders spoke earlier today.
“The Prime Minister indicated that Ukraine can count on the UK to continue to support it in the long term, as evidenced by the recent delivery of over 1,000 anti-aircraft missiles.”
For his part, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in a post he made on Telegram, said that he and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom have taken “concrete decisions”.
“Together with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, we discussed further defense cooperation. We agreed to intensify our efforts to bring victory closer this year already. We already have specific decisions on this,” he said.
