by

Archbishop Elpidophoros points out the absolute need for the Patriarch of Serbia to be able to visit the region and exercise his liturgical duties for the Serbian community

Take immediate action to facilitate and further ensure peace in what he describes as the wounded region of Kosovo, as well as the human rights and religious freedoms of the Serbian community there, asks in a letter to the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, the Archbishop of America, Hopeful, in his capacity as president of the Convention of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.

Also, Archbishop Elpidophoros points out the absolute need for the Patriarch of Serbia to be able to visit the region and exercise his liturgical duties for the Serbian community.

It was the reason for the letter the abnormal situation observed the previous weeks in Kosovo, culminating in the ban imposed by the Pristina authorities, on December 26, on Serbian Patriarch Porphyrios from visiting the Holy Patriarchal and Holy Cross Monastery of Pekio, the historic first seat of the Serbian Patriarchate, and being close to the Serbian Orthodox believers on the holy days of Christmas.
