Moscow announced that Kyiv bombed Russian military positions – Sirens sounded in Ukraine – Satellite images of Bahamut before and after clashes
The truce he announced on Thursday, unilaterally, seems to remain on paper Vladimir Putin, as it seems that not even the Kremlin itself respects it…
Moscow announced that Ukraine bombed Russian military positions today Friday during the 36-hour ceasefire unilaterally declared by Putin, while at the same time there are reports of an airstrike alert in Ukraine.
Kyiv and the West dismissed the ceasefire as a ploy by the Russian president.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its positions were attacked in the regions of Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhia, and that its military forces were observing the ceasefire.
“Four mortar shells were fired at Russian positions by the armed forces of Ukraine in the direction of the port city of Liman,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Reuters could not immediately ascertain whether there had been any respite from the fighting. The Kyiv, for its part, has announced that it has no intention to halt its hostilities over Russia’s proposed truce, which Ukraine and its Western allies have described as a plan designed to buy Moscow time to build up its military forces, as well as of its military equipment.
Kyiv and the West believe that Russia is in a difficult strategic position and wishes to regroup. The Ukrainian army staff announced on Friday that since February 24, when the war began, Moscow has lost nearly 111,000 soldiers. The numbers cannot be independently verified.
Putin ordered a 36-hour ceasefire in the 10-month war in a surprise move yesterday, saying the truce was to mark the Russian Orthodox Christmas.
However, according to the Guardian, air raid alert issued in regions of Ukraine.
The sirens appear to have sounded just hours after Russia declared a temporary ceasefire along the front line in Ukraine to mark Christmas, the British media reported.

Satellite images of Bahamut flattened
At the same time, the American company Maxar Technologies released two satellite images of Bahmut, one from August 1, 2022 and one from January 3, with the city apparently leveled within six months due to the fierce fighting.
The small town of eastern Ukraine is a field of deadly hostilities for months now.
Moscow reportedly wants to take control of salt and gypsum reserves from mines located in the city, the White House estimates.
