Cabin crews denounce attitude of low-cost Irish carrier, which still refuses to guarantee the legal minimum wage in Belgium
At least 152 flights her Ryanair to and from the airport Charleroi are canceled at the weekend as the cabin crews are on strike.
According to the CNE union, the 15 aircraft of the Charleroi-based airline will remain grounded on Saturday and Sunday. However, there are no cancellations at Brussels airport, as flights operate from other bases of the low-cost carrier.
Ryanair has announced that all concerned travelers will be informed in advance whether their flight will go ahead or not. The low-cost airline’s cabin crew are protesting the attitude of the Irish carrier, which continues to refuse to guarantee the legal minimum wage in Belgium, French-language Belgian public broadcaster rtbf reports.
Strikes had also taken place on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 December, as well as on Sunday 1 January.
Almost 130 flights were canceled during the three days.
