Harry Spartacus May has yet to plead ‘guilty’ or ‘not guilty’ of egg attack on Charles
The 21-year-old appeared before Luton Crown Court today Harry Spartacus May who is accused of throwing an egg at King Charles on December 6 in London, faces a public nuisance charge.
Britain’s 74-year-old king was in Luton to meet local officials and visit charities and a new Sikh temple. Charles III succeeded Elizabeth II to the British throne after his mother’s death in September.
Harry Spartacus May has not still plead “guilty” or “not guilty”, while the BBC broadcasts that he will be brought before the court again on Friday.
In early November, a 23-year-old man was arrested in York, northern England, for throwing eggs at King Charles during his tour of the area. Before he was stopped and arrested by police, the 23-year-old denounced the United Kingdom’s colonial past, shouting that the blood of slaves was shed for this country. He was released on bail and will appear in court on January 20.
