Tate has been banned from several social media platforms for hate speech and misogynistic comments.
Andrew Tate has appealed his detention decision to the Romanian Court, which is expected to rule on Tuesday whether the controversial former kickboxer, and alleged “toxic influencer” – because of his misogynistic rhetoric – should remain in custody while an organized crime investigation is underway.
Tate, 36, his brother Tristan, 34, and two Romanian women were arrested by prosecutors on December 29 on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized crime group to exploit women.
Both men have denied wrongdoing.
Tate, who holds dual British and American citizenship, has been banned from several social media platforms for hate speech and misogynistic comments.
He arrived at the court in Bucharest handcuffed to his brother and carrying a copy of the Koran.
He left in a police van about six hours later.
