A 14-year-old Wisconsin boy has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot his girlfriend, also 14, three times in the head after she asked him to break up.
Although the little girl survived, Elias Olson, as the perpetrator is called, is facing a prison sentence of 60 years, as he was charged as an adult.
According to the description made by the 14-year-old who received the shots, everything happened on Sunday while she had gone for a walk with Olson to smoke.
According to what the 14-year-old told police, after she told Olson they wanted a divorce, he first asked her to turn off her cell phone, which she threw away, and then pointed a white revolver at her head and shot her once.
When the girl asked him not to kill her, Olson told her “you have to die” and shot her two more times before disappearing in an unknown direction.
Despite her injuries, the 14-year-old managed to stop a passing motorcyclist, who notified the authorities.
The girl was taken to hospital with three head injuries.
As reported by the New York Post citing evidence from the case file, one of the bullets penetrated her left cheek and lodged in her neck near the carotid artery.
Nevertheless, the girl miraculously survived after first undergoing long-term operations.
The 14-year-old confessed to his act and claimed that “I did it in a fit of rage after a post on Snapchat and a breakup proposal”.
The police who found him at a friend’s house confiscated a 22-gauge pistol and two magazines for a 9-gauge pistol, while bloody shoes and clothes were found in his house.
