Victim had close ‘transactional’ relationship with Kesley Turner, prosecutors say – Ex-model, with signature gun tattoo on thigh, murdered psychiatrist
A former Playboy model was sentenced to at least 10 years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to aggravating circumstances in the 2019 Las Vegas killing of a California psychiatrist.
Kelsey Turner, who has posed for Playboy Italia and Maxim, was sentenced to between 10 and 25 years in prison in a Clark County, Nevada court for her role in the death of Dr. Thomas Bouchard.
The victim, who had a close “transactional” relationship with Turner, according to prosecutors, was murdered and then had his body hidden in Turner’s car in March 2019, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Prosecutors said Turner, 29, who has a distinctive tattoo of a gun on her thigh, told her boyfriend John Kenniston to attack Bouchard when the doctor visited the couple in Las Vegas, the newspaper reported. Kennison beat the 71-year-old with a bat and then put his body in the trunk of a Mercedes-Benz linked to Turner, KTVN reported.
Police said Bouchard traveled to Las Vegas to end the two-year relationship with Turner, the station reported. He supported her and her child financially, including paying her rent, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“There’s certainly room for a lot of speculation as to what the nature of the relationship was,” Deputy Attorney General Pamela Weckerly told the court during the hearing, according to the Review-Journal.
“I believe that the facts of this case demonstrate, however, that, as far as Ms. Turner is concerned, this was a “transactional relationship”, to whatever extent it was transactional” added the prosecutor.
Her lover was sentenced in July to 18-45 years in prison after pleading guilty.
