The couple (a 45-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman) and their four children (aged between 10 and 18) died.
The house of a six-member family in a community in the state of Haryana, in northern India, was engulfed in flames today after a gas cylinder exploded.
The couple (a 45-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman) and their four children (ages 10 to 18) met a tragic death.
“A fire broke out in the house after a gas cylinder” that the family used for cooking exploded, a local police spokesman said. “Six people — the androgyne and his four children (two boys and two girls) — died in the fire,” he added.
The family had recently moved from West Bengal and the parents had found work in a factory in the city of Panipat.
Police said they received a phone call from neighbors who saw smoke coming from the home. “The family lived in a small house that they had rented.
When firefighters arrived, the house was already engulfed in flames. The victims were found charred,” a police spokesman explained.
