Denmark has decided to give Ukraine all 19 long-range French-made Caesar cannons, some of which have not yet been delivered, the government announced today.
The government, with the support of Parliament, “decided to give all 19 French-made Caesar artillery guns to the Ukrainian army,” Defense Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen announced in a press release, as announcements of donations of heavy weapons to the Ukraine are increasing in the West. “We are in constant contact with the Ukrainians about the Caesar artillery systems in particular, and I am happy that we have now received the broad support of the Danish Parliament to donate them to Ukraine’s struggle for freedom,” he added.

This donation will delay Denmark from building its brigade. Copenhagen will seek to quickly acquire new military capabilities alongside the donation, the defense ministry said.
