“The United Kingdom will support Ukraine as long as necessary,” the former prime minister said
The former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, visited Ukraine today, Sunday, at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
Boros Johnson traveled to Bukha and Borodyanka and first met with the head of the Kiev regional military command, Oleksii Kuleba.
The former UK Prime Minister was seen taking notes during his tour. Asked by Johnson how many of those who had left the city had returned, Kuleba replied that the population had returned to 60%.
Johnson also visited an exhibition dedicated to the Butsa massacre, laid a flower at a mass grave and said “the UK will support Ukraine for as long as it takes”.
Boris Johnson also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv during which the former British Prime Minister pledged his continued support to the country while asking how he could help Ukraine.
Zelensky, for his part, thanked Johnson for his visit and support in a Telegram post, calling him a “true friend of Ukraine.”
