In this context, he emphasized that the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America remains fully prepared to act as a bridge of friendship and cooperation between Greece and the United States.
The last meeting between the two sides took place in Athens, when the Archbishop visited Mr. Pierrakakis during his tenure at the Ministry of Education. Concluding their meeting, Archbishop Elpidophoros congratulated the Greek minister on his successful visit to the USA and wished him every success in his duties.
