Tehran has multiplied the warnings to the Europeans
Iran is preparing countermeasures in case the European Union decides to blacklist the Revolutionary Guards, as the European Parliament wants, the head of Iranian diplomacy warned today.

Asked about other measures that Tehran could take, the minister replied that the possible withdrawal of his country from the treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons (NPT) and the expulsion of the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are not excluded. ) from the Iranian nuclear facilities.
“If European political leaders (…) do not follow the path of reason and correct their positions, all options are on the table,” the Iranian foreign minister said, according to Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
The minister particularly criticized the “lack of diplomatic experience” of some European leaders and referred to German Foreign Minister Analena Burbock.
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, claimed today for his part that Iran “will respond immediately and strongly” if the EU moves in this direction, “recognizing as terrorist organizations the armies of European countries”.
European diplomats clarified that no decision has yet been made regarding the Guards. But the foreign ministers of the 27 EU countries are due to agree tomorrow, Monday, on new sanctions against 37 people or entities in Iran involved in the crackdown on protests.
