China’s government is disbursing amount of 40 million yuan (about 5.5 million euros) that will be offered to Turkey to help earthquake victims, the Chinese state television network CCTV reported, clarifying that this is the first tranche of aid planned to be made available.

For its part, the Chinese Red Cross and Red Crescent Committee will provide emergency aid of around 186,000 euros to both Turkey and Syria, according to the same source.
