by

The Greek search and rescue mission, in the province of Hatay in Antioch, has so far rescued four people, a 15-year-old boy, a 50-year-old man and two girls aged 9 and 6

Under the hashtag #teşekkürleryunanistan (#ThankGreece), Turkish Twitter users – from politicians and artists to ordinary citizens – are thanking the Greek mission working in the ruins of Monday’s two deadly earthquakes.

For example, the user @selcukdemir3 posted an image from yesterday’s rescue of a 6-year-old girl in the province of Hatay in Antioch and the caption: “Dear Greeks, I will never forget this image. You have a Turkish friend in Anatolia. I love you, take care”.
