Rome confirms delivery of Samp-T anti-missile system to Ukraine

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in her statements from Brussels, confirmed that her country, in cooperation with France, will supply Ukraine with the Samp-T anti-missile system. “We are moving at a fast pace and the official announcement will be made soon” , said Meloni

“We are ready to play our role, I can’t say more,” he added in relation to the possibility of supplying Ukraine with warplanes.

“The EU wants to remain on the side of Kiev, by all necessary means. I told President Zelensky that there is a strong Italian will, but it is important that it was said by the entire Summit,” Meloni added.

She confirmed her intention to go to Kyiv soon, while emphasizing that she would like a video message from the Ukrainian president to be broadcast on the final night of the Sanremo Italian Song Festival. Finally, in relation to the meeting of Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Solz with Zelensky in Paris on the eve of the Summit, the Italian Prime Minister emphasized that “she is not interested in being included in photos with which she does not agree” and that “in Paris there were two European presidents, but 25 were missing”.
