US: FBI Searches Former Vice President Mike Pence’s Home for ‘Forgotten’ Secret Documents

Former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden are also under investigation for allegedly withholding classified documents and not turning them over when their terms ended

The F.B.I searched his house today former US Vice President Mike Pence, with his consent, since last month documents marked “confidential” were found there.

On Jan. 18, Pence’s attorney, Greg Jacobs, informed the National Archives that classified records were found at that home in Indianapolis. The files were then turned over to the FBI.

THE former President Donald Trump and current president Joe Biden are also under investigation because they allegedly withheld classified files and did not turn them over when their term ended. For Biden, the investigation concerns the period when he was Barack Obama’s vice president. Special Counsel Jack Smith is looking into whether Trump or his associates obstructed the Justice Department’s investigation into the former president’s withholding of thousands of files after he left the White House in January 2021. Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed also special counsel Robert Herr to investigate Biden after the Democratic president’s legal advisers revealed they found classified documents at a University of Pennsylvania think tank. Biden maintained an office there after his term as Obama’s vice president ended and before he was elected president. Other documents were also found at his home in Wilmington.
