Silvio Berlusconi was today found not guilty of the charges of bribing and financing girls at the infamous “bunga-bunga” parties, with the aim of testifying that they were just simple dinners, without payment of money and sexual relations.

The Milan court today acquitted the “Cavalier” and 27 other people – among them the star of these dinners, Karima El Mahroug (known by the stage name Ruby), along with 20 other young women.

“Ruby never existed, my name is Karima and today a nightmare ended,” said Karima El Mahroug.

The Milan prosecutor’s office had asked for Berlusconi’s sentence to six years in prison and the payment of almost 11 million euros.

“This is the most complete acquittal, after two other court decisions with the same content, we are completely satisfied,” said Berlusconi’s defense attorneys.

In fact, his lawyer, Federico Cecconi, said that his client is delighted with the decision.
