The civil war between the highest echelons of power in Moscow tends to take uncontrolled proportions, with the “camps” consolidated, and “exchanged shots” in the midst of the war in Ukraine, apparently in the absence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“High treason”

The “boss” of the mercenary organization Wagner, yesterday Tuesday directly accused the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense (see Sergey Shoigu) for “high treason”, that is, for the alleged attempt to destroy his private mercenary organization, in a recording published on Tuesday by his press service on his Telegram channel.

“The Chief of the General Staff (Valery Gerasimov – photo with Putin and Shoigu) and the Minister of Defense give orders right and left that Wagner PMC should not receive ammunition, they also do not help with air transport,” Prigozhin argued.

“There is direct opposition, which is said to be nothing but an attempt to destroy the PMC,” he said. “This can be evened out with utter treachery now, when the Wagner PMC is fighting for Bahamut, losing hundreds of its fighters every day.”

On the recording, a seemingly frustrated Prigozhin also complained about the high death toll of the Wagner group, citing a continued lack of supplies.

“Wagner PMC is out of ammo. Why are the other units also constantly running low on ammo? A handful of military officials have decided that this is their country, their people, they have decided that these people will die whenever it suits them,” he said.

Yevgeny Prigozhin has repeatedly publicly criticized the Ministry of Defense and the Russian military command, with Ramzan Kadyrov as his supporter. Wagner’s founder constantly criticizes the Ministry of Defense for a lack of ammunition and equipment, for tactical mistakes on the battlefield, and for the ministry appropriating the successes of its own mercenaries.

“You are working for the benefit of the enemy”

Responding in a statement, the Russian ministry accused Wagner’s founder of “divisive behavior” and of working for the benefit of the enemy.

“All requests for supply of ammunition for raiding units are completed as soon as possible. So it was and so it will be.

»In the coming days, all ammo requests submitted for February will be fully supplied for assault units. On February 25, deliveries of ammunition of all ranges will begin in accordance with the application submitted for March. Overall, during the past year, assault detachments’ ammunition needs were met by 140 percent of the requests received. This is our priority.

“Once again, we want to emphasize that the volunteers, as well as the military personnel of the assault units of the divisions, courageously and selflessly carry out the most difficult combat missions for the liberation of Donbas from the fighters of the Kiev regime. The break-up attempts of the close mechanism of interaction and support between the divisions of the Russian divisions are counterproductive and work only for the benefit of the enemy.”

Prigozhin, Kadyrov and Surovikin did not attend Putin’s speech

It is noted that in yesterday’s speech of the Russian president to the Federal Assembly, a number of important persons whose actions are related to the war in Ukraine, were not present, as noticed by the media and social media. In particular, the president of Chechnya Ramzhan Kadyrov, the founder of the mercenary organization Wagner, the commander of the Russian troops in Ukraine Valery Gerasimov and his deputy Sergey Surovikin, but also the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, were not present.

The Telegram channel “mozem obiasnit” (We can explain), points out that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was in the room, while in the middle of the speech of the Russian president, Dmitry Menvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, fell asleep as well as the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Leonid Slutsky.

The same channel, found through websites that show aircraft flights in real time, that the personal plane of the president of Chechnya left for Abu Dhabi. Recently there have been reports, although not officially confirmed, that Ramzan Kadyrov, whose presence in the media has been sharply reduced in recent months, spends a significant part of his time in the United Arab Emirates.

The journalist of the RTVI television network, who was present in the chamber of the Federal Assembly, also confirmed that he did not see Kadyrov and Sobyanin, who according to the Verstka Telegram channel, could not attend due to illness.

Prigozhin announced through his press service, that he had not been invited in the speech of the Russian president. Asked about this, Prigozhin said that Vladimir Putin did not invite him to his speech today, adding that he “has a job in Bahamut” and that “Wagner members do not go to such events.”
