A Turkish Cypriot climber, Birkan Uzun, was killed by an avalanche in the USA, who about two weeks ago placed the flag of the pseudo-state on Mount Vinson, the highest point of Antarctica, which reaches 4,892 meters.
According to the Turkish media, Birkan Uzun, on his return to the USA, went skiing but lost his life after an avalanche.
A relevant post about the death of the climber was made by the leader of the Turkish Cypriots, Ersin Tatar.
It is recalled that 28-year-old Uzun, who was born in occupied Morphou and worked as a business consultant for a company in Seattle, USA, told the so-called “t / k news agency” that his goal was to climb the highest points on all seven continents.
President Ersin Tatar issued a condolence message on the death of Turkish Cypriot mountaineer Birkan Uzun as a result of the accident: “Our Birkan, who is devoted to his country and nation with great love, will always live in the most special place of our hearts”@ersinrtatar pic.twitter.com/mGXmaARWKb
