An uproar has erupted in Turkey from a video that was first published on Telegram and then on other social media in which the Russian official can be seen doing… striptease in front of the camera.

This is 57-year-old lieutenant general Alexander Matovnikov and Putin confidant who is the star of a 44-second video in which he begins to strip in front of the camera. At the beginning he appears with the towel while then swaying to the sounds of dance music.
Lieutenant General Matovnikov is currently the deputy head of Russia’s ground forces, with responsibility for Moscow’s military presence in neighboring Belarus. He is a former member of Moscow’s influential security council and served as Putin’s military leader in the North Caucasus Federal District, an area of strategic importance to Russia.
It is not known who the video was intended for but its leak was seen as an attempt to hurt the lieutenant general who heads the Russian and Belarusian troops.
