Overall, the diagnostic tests decreased to 278,654, 21.9% of which were positive. In the ICU, compared to yesterday, 22 new patients were admitted and 491 in the hospital wards.

Meanwhile, according to the newspaper La Repubblica, the government of Mario Draghi intends to extend the use of the super green pass vaccinated in all workplaces while, at the same time, it is considering the possibility of imposing compulsory vaccination for citizens over 18 years of age.

At the same time, after the adoption of the new measures, which will take effect on January 10 (mandatory super green pass for entry to hotels and all means of public transport, for food consumption and at the tables of outdoor stores, but also for access to ski resorts) significantly increased the attendance of citizens at vaccination centers.

From Milan, to Rome and Lecce in Lower Italy, in the last few hours queues of citizens were formed to make the commemorative, but also the first dose of anti-covid preparations 19.

Finally, the Ligurian region, with Genoa as its capital, is experiencing a large increase in cases and will probably be the first region of the country to become an “orange zone” again, with a series of bans and restrictions on unvaccinated citizens.
