The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola, arrived in Ukraine late on Friday night, as she announced in a post on Twitter.

“It feels good to be back in Ukraine and to be with these brave people who inspired the world. With these heroes who refuse to give up. With those who sacrificed everything for our values. With Europeans, whose home is in our EU,” Metsola wrote in the post, which she accompanied with a photo of herself.

Shortly after midnight, there was a new post by the president of the European Parliament, after the meeting she had with the president of the Ukrainian parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

“Ukraine’s future is as a member of the European Union. We will always be by your side. It’s great to see my friend Ruslan Stefanchuk again,” said Roberta Metzola.

Metsola was the first European official to visit Ukraine last April, delivering a speech to the Ukrainian parliament just weeks after the start of the Russian invasion.
