Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s advisor Mykhailo Podoliak said today that Kiev has “absolutely no involvement” in last year’s attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines and has no information about what happened.

The Ukrainian official made these statements on the occasion of a New York Times report, according to which a pro-Ukrainian organization is responsible for the attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

Russia is asking for an international investigation

Russia’s deputy ambassador to the UN said today that the New York Times report on who was responsible for the pipeline attacks Nord Stream “it only proves that our initiative to launch an international investigation under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General is absolutely timely.”

Russia plans to request a UN Security Council vote by the end of March on its draft resolution asking Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to launch such an investigation, Russia’s deputy UN ambassador Dmitry Polyansky told Reuters.
