Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has announced that a new meeting of the so-called Ramstein scheme — named after a US air base in Germany — will be held to discuss upcoming arms deliveries from Western nations to Ukraine’s military.

The meeting is expected to take place immediately, possibly today, Mr. Reznikov said yesterday via Facebook, after talks he had with his Dutch counterpart Kaisha Holgren.

At this meeting, in the port of Odesa (south), Mrs. Holgren mentioned the prospect of two Alkmaar-class minesweepers being delivered to the Ukrainian Navy in 2025. The Dutch armed forces intend to start training their crews from the second half of the current year. , according to her.

Belgium made a similar announcement, while Britain has already delivered some vessels. Mr. Reznikov spoke of forming an “alliance” to deliver ships.

In addition to minesweepers, the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with radars for UAVs and an amphibious mobile bridge construction system M3, Ms. Ologren said for her part.
