The porn star testified about the money she allegedly took from the former president so she wouldn’t talk about their relationship on TV
The tangle of actions of the former US president is unraveling piece by piece, Donald Trump, who has been investigated for multiple offenses during his presidency. On Wednesday, before the prosecutors investigating the affairs of Donald Trump, the porn star Stormy Daniels, to whom the former president allegedly gave money, appeared.
Daniels’ attorney, Clark Brewster, tweeted that his client met with and answered questions from Manhattan prosecutors and was willing to testify. At the same time, Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, testified for a second day.
Daniels tweeted: “Thank you to my lawyer for helping me in my fight for truth and justice.”
Thank you to my amazing attorney (who also always spells my name correctly 🤣) for helping me in our continuing fight for truth and justice. https://t.co/rvie0qBHVs

In the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, Cohen said he made a $130,000 payment on Trump’s behalf to Daniels, who at the time was in negotiations to tell her story on television.
Daniels said she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. Trump said it never happened. The former president’s lawyer said Trump has been subpoenaed to testify before the judge but has no plans to do so.
Federal prosecutors in 2018 charged Cohen with campaign finance crimes related to a similar $150,000 payment to Playboy model Karen McDougal. Trump also denied having an affair with McDougal.
Cohen, however, pleaded guilty. Despite this, Trump was never charged by federal prosecutors. Manhattan prosecutors have been looking into whether state laws were violated in connection with the payments or how Cohen was paid by the Trump Organization to cover up the cases.
Falsifying business records can be a misdemeanor under state law or a felony if it is related to a more serious crime.
Trump and his lawyers said he was blackmailed into paying Daniels and should be considered a victim of the investigation. Daniels and the attorneys involved in the case denied that they had engaged in extortion.
