Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Paul Grant has died at the age of 56.

Paul Grant reportedly collapsed on March 16 while standing outside King’s Cross train station in London. An ambulance rushed to the scene at St Pancras station on Euston Street.

Once at the hospital, Paul Grant was diagnosed as brain dead and put on life support. Yesterday Sunday, the actor’s family confirmed that he had died after the mechanical support was switched off.

Paul Grant, was a father of three children and for several years tried to recover from drugs and alcohol.

The 28-year-old daughter of the actor, Sophie Jayne Grant, appeared shocked in the British newspaper SUN: “I am devastated. My dad was a legend in many ways. He always brought a smile and laughter to everyone’s lips.”

He added: “Dad I love you so much, sleep well”!

Maria Dwyer, Grant’s girlfriend, said the actor was the “love of her life. Paul was the funniest person I know. It was completing my life. Life will never be the same without him.” he said.

Grant played an Ewok in the 1983 Star Wars film Return of the Jedi alongside Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.

He starred in 1998’s Willow with Val Kilmer, as well as the 1985 film Legend with Tom Cruise. In 1986 she appeared in Labyrinth, starring David Bowie, and also appeared in the Harry Potter film series.
