A Kalashnikov was fired from a car as it drove past the TV station building, killing a 60-year-old security guard
A security guard was killed last night in an automatic weapon attack against Albania’s largest private television station, Top Channel, the police announced.
Shots were fired Kalashnikov by a car while passing in front of the television station building, killing a 60-year-old man.
“People who have not yet been identified opened fire with bursts of automatic weapons in the direction of the Top Channel building,” police said in a statement.
THE Prime Minister Edi Rama he denounced a “criminal attack” and expressed his “solidarity” with the station’s workers. The attack was also condemned by all political parties.
At the time of the attack, which took place around 01:00 (02:00 Greek time), the security guard was in a glass sentinel in the courtyard of the building.
The station in question employs hundreds of workers and many of them were inside the building at the time of the attack.
