An estimated 40 other people were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
According to a statement from the administration of the state of Chihuahua, the fire broke out after transfer of approximately 70 migrants who had been removed from the streets of the Mexican city. According to the local press, people of mainly Venezuelan origin, but also other nationalities, who were begging on the streets were removed.
