Note had apparently left the 28-year-old killer, Audrey Hale shortly before he stormed the small Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, killing three students and three adults, including the school’s principal, before she herself was shot dead by police.

In particular, the 28-year-old reportedly sent a message on social media to a friend shortly before the attack, warning: “Something bad is going to happen.” The 28-year-old perpetrator herself called the specific message as “basically a suicide note” and “you’ll probably hear about me on the news after I’m dead.”

Audrey Hale sent this warning message, according to the Guardian website, to her former basketball teammate Averiana Patton who complained that the police did not act immediately after notifying them of her friend’s intentions.

Patton said she called 911 and was told to call another police department’s non-emergency number. There she was put on hold for almost seven minutes and then she was promised that she would be visited by a policeman who finally did visit her five hours after the massacre.

“I found out that Audrey was the shooter and that she had been in contact with me prior to the shooting,” Patton said. “My heart goes out to all the families affected and I am devastated by what has happened” she said.

Police on Tuesday released shocking video from a police officer’s body camera that captured the moment officers confront and kill the 28-year-old.

The authorities continue to look for the motive of Audrey Hale who had declared that she is transgender and attended and had herself attended the particular school.
