Israeli air force aircraft are striking targets in the Gaza Strip, a Reuters news agency reporter reported.

The strike by Israel comes after rockets were fired from the Palestinian enclave against Israel, which in turn took place after the incidents that took place at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem between Israeli police and Palestinians.

All this in the middle of the month of Ramadan and while the Jews celebrate Easter from tonight.

Earlier, the Israeli army announced that at least nine rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel, five of which were “intercepted by anti-aircraft defenses” in the Sderot sector (south), while another four landed in uninhabited areas.

In the Palestinian enclave, in the middle of the night, dozens of protesters took to the streets, setting fire to tires and other objects after the operation of the Israeli police inside the Al-Aqsa Islamic mosque, in Jerusalem, to remove “troublemakers”.

“We swear to defend and protect Al-Aqsa,” chanted the crowd.

The Israeli police raid on the Mosque Square, the third holiest place in Islam, in the middle of Ramadan, provoked reactions from Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
