One day after she officially joined the NATOthe Finland announced today that it has approved the procurement of a new missile defense system from Israel.
The cost of the air defense system, known as David’s Sling, is estimated at 316 million euros, the Ministry of Defense said.
The Ministry of Defense has authorized the Finnish Defense Forces to procure the next long-range air defense system of Finland.

The system, manufactured by Israeli defense company Rafael, is expected to significantly extend the range of Finland’s ground-based air defenses.
David’s Sling, also known as the “Magic Wand”, is a system developed by Israel in cooperation with the US.
