The political thermometer between Beijing and Taiwan is rising. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan accused China that undermines “peace and stability” in the areafollowing the end of the military high schools conducted by Beijing around the autonomous island.
China “deliberately uses military high schools to undermine stability in the Taiwan Strait”the ministry said, adding that Taipei will maintain close relations with the United States “so that they can jointly prevent authoritarian spread.”
From for its part, the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan announced that despite the end of military high schools, Taiwan will not stop strengthening its combat readiness and will continue to closely monitor China’s missile power and the movements of the Shandong aircraft carrier.
