“A few days before the elections, Mr. Mitsotakis remembered the western Thessaloniki abandoned by him and his government and hastened to sort out the hares with petrachelias”, the announcement emphasizes
“No matter how many communication visits Mr. Mitsotakis makes, he cannot prevent political change,” SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance says in a statement about Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ today’s tour in Thessaloniki.
“A few days before the elections, Mr. Mitsotakis remembered the western Thessaloniki abandoned by him and his government and hastened to sort out the hares”, emphasizes SYRIZA-PS and notes:
“The completion and operation of the Thessaloniki Metro was promised, while a short time ago it said that it would be operational in… April 2023. To this day, neither the construction part of the project, nor the international tender for its operation as a transportation system, has been completed.
He promised to extend the Metro to the western districts when and if the conditions are ripe, while the studies and preliminary works for the extension were started by the previous government and have been frozen for four years.
He promised to build a new Oncology Hospital in the city through PPP, while the tender for the critical and necessary Children’s Hospital has been canceled and since then there has been no government announcement or commitment.
He promised the protesting parents and students of the Municipality of Kordelios-Evosmos who are asking for safe school buildings that he will deal with the issue when… he returns to Athens!
He promised that EYDAP and EYATH will pass from the Superfund to the Greek State but after the elections. He even underestimated the citizens of Thessaloniki who came down to the grand concert against the privatization of water, calling it “fake news” from SYRIZA-PS and those who are reacting.”
