Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron today in which the two presidents discussed the latter’s visit to China, Zelensky said.

Macron visited China last week, urging Chinese President Xi Jinping to “persuade” Russia to end the war in Ukraine.

“I told him about the situation on the war front, but also about our further intention, regarding the liberation of all our regions,” Zelensky wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

“I commented positively on France’s intention to further strengthen its significant support in Ukraine and on the battlefield.”
