Erdogan’s online presence at the opening of the Akiyo nuclear plant was postponed to 4 pm, which was scheduled for 13.30.

Erdogan had canceled his lifetime presence at the event, after the his collapse during the television interview on Tuesday night.

His doctors recommended the cancellation of yesterday’s and today’s appearances, which is why it was decided to participate in the event in Akoou via video conference.

Initially, the appearance was scheduled for 1:30 p.m., but as Manolis Kostidis reports from Istanbul, it was postponed for a few hours, to 4 p.m.

Erdogan is expected to speak by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly before the opening of Turkey’s first nuclear power plant, Akkuyu, built by Russia’s state-run nuclear power company Rosatom.

The two leaders after their conversation will participate online in the ceremony to mark the loading of nuclear fuel at the first Akuyo power plant.
