In three more days of strikes, British train drivers are advancing, one of which will coincide with the FA Cup final on June 3.

The workers they rejected the wage offer from 16 rail companies in a long-running dispute, their union announced today.

ASLEF has announced that the strikes will take place on 12 May, 31 May and 3 June. It also cancels optional overtime on May 15-20 as well as May 13 and June 1.

Along with him FA Cup finalthe strike is likely to affect her singing competition Eurovision in Liverpool, taking place between 9 and 13 May.

“Our executive committee met this morning and rejected the proposal we received,” ASLEF general secretary Mike Whelan said in a statement, adding “As a result, today we have announced three more days of action.”

The RDG organization, representing the railway management companies, said it offered 8% salary increase for two years and called the new strike dates “disappointing”.

“The new mobilizations are completely unnecessary and will simply increase the pressure on an industry that is already facing an acute economic crisis,” said an RDG spokesman. “We call on ASLEF management to return to the negotiating table and work with us to find a solution.”
