There are many injured, according to the local police department – The attack took place at Northside Hospital
A gunman opened fire today at a medical center in Atlanta, killing one person and wounding at least three others, according to police in the large southern US city.
“We know that many people were injured,” security services said on Twitter, adding that the suspect was “still on the run.”

Heavy police forces have been deployed in the area, according to footage broadcast by US television networks. Several ambulances have also rushed to the spot.

Local channel WSB reported that the building where the attack took place belongs to Northside Hospital.
Police released security camera images showing the gunman, a man wearing a hooded jacket and medical mask.
