It has caused a shock new murderous attack in Serbia this morning, when a 21-year-old man who allegedly got into a fight with his friends, took a Kalashnikov and drove through two villages in Serbia, 46 kilometers south of Belgrade.

Manhunt continues to be ongoing in order to arrest the perpetrator from whose gun they lost their lives at least ten peopleand fifteen others were injured, in a country that was already in a state of shock, after the massacre at a Belgrade school the day before Wednesday, with nine dead.

Today, before the sun even rose, hundreds of police were combing the area, while a searchlight-equipped helicopter was also searching for the attacker.

According to RTS, around 600 police officers are involved in the investigation, including members of a special intervention unit of the anti-terrorist service. At the same time, the police blocked access to various villages.

Serbian Minister of the Interior Bratislava Gasic spoke about “terrorist attack”.

As N. Pelpas reported earlier from Belgrade, there was information that the young man was located and surrounded by the police near the town of Mali Pozarevac, but refused to surrender and exchanged fire with police officers.

Distraught relatives had gathered outside the emergency department of a medical center in Belgrade, where at least eight injured people were treated, N1 television reported. Minister of Health Danica Grujcic paid a short visit to the center.

As broadcast by the “Nova.rs” television network, the attacker who was on a rampage started from Dubona and drove his car through two villages. “A police officer who tried to stop him and talk to him was also killed,” said a resident of the area.

The attacker allegedly shot a total of 25 people. Seven of the injured are hospitalized in a critical condition in hospitals in Belgrade.

Anadolu Agency reports that the attacker has been named Uros Blazic, and he is the son of a military man. The young man had not been convicted of any crime in the past but his behavior was “problematic” according to some media.

The images in Dubona village are terrifying. The families of the victims are inconsolable. Only the sobs of people who are still in shock can be heard.

The police are looking for the perpetrator while every house is checked. The killer was last seen in the village of Šepšin and the police surrounded the place.

Strong police forces have cordoned off the area in search of the attacker. Latest information states that he has been located and surrounded by the police near the town of Mali Pozarevac but refuses to surrender and returns fire to the police.

The carnage unfolded a day after a school attack by a 13-year-old left nine dead and seven injured, which shocked the country.

In the meantime the Minister of Health appealed for blood addressed the Ministry of Health of Serbia.
During the bloody incident, the director of the Security and Intelligence Service (BIA) Aleksandar Vulin and the Minister of Health Danica Grujičić also arrived at the Emergency Center.

In the Balkans huge numbers of weapons – including military weapons – have been in circulation since the conflicts and bloody breakup of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Some 765,000 guns, including 232,000 pistols, are legally registered in Serbia, a country of about seven million people, where shooting ranges they are popular.

In April 2013, a villager murdered 13 people, including his family members and neighbors, not far from Mladenovac, in the same area as yesterday’s massacre.
