The couple will retire for a few days of rest to the Sandringham estate, the “fatherland” of Queen Elizabeth
After her “difficult” and super-full day Coronation on Friday but also on the weekend of celebrations, the king Charles and the queen Camila they will retire for a few days to the Sandringham estate, the family’s “royal country house” in Norfolk, England, in order to rest.
The Sandringham it was the queen’s “fatherland”. Elizabeth and her favorite place – her private residence where her father, King George VI and her grandfather, George V, died.
That is why it is called an “estate” or Sandrigam House and not a Palace.
As Dailymail reports, the 74-year-old monarch, after an obligation, will meet Queen Camilla (75 years old) during the day and for a few days they will be away from their royal duties.
In all likelihood, the royal couple will rest in Sandringham until perhaps early next week.
King Charles finds Sandringham “stimulating” but even there – like Queen Elizabeth – he won’t stop working – checking the state’s red boxes every day.
The… house – now owned by Charles – is set in 80,000 acres on the Norfolk coast of outstanding natural beauty.
However, their aides are already busy planning a packed schedule ahead of their summer break, which includes the annual Order of the Ribbon ceremony and visits around Britain.
